Abstract
One embodiment is a crash box including a tubular body 11 that is formed in a tubular shape so as to form a hollow portion inside, and is buckled and deformed by receiving a collision load input in a penetrating direction of the hollow portion to absorb collision energy, and an intermediate plate 16 that is held by the tubular body 11 and is a plate body that divides the hollow portion into two regions. The intermediate plate 16 has bent portions 16a to 16d formed on a plate surface, and a protruding end associated with bending of the bent portions 16a to 16d forms a ridgeline extending in a straight line in a collision load input direction.
