Abstract

A system comprises a head-mountable device (10) and at least one sensing unit (14). The at least one sensing unit (14) is configured for obtaining a value of at least one feature of a motion of a head of a wearer, and a data processing unit (15) of the head-mountable device (10) is configured for determining a characterization of a gaze distance of the wearer from at least the value of the at least one feature of the motion. In preferred embodiments, the sensing unit may be an inertial measurement unit, and the data processing unit may be of neuron network type, in particular of multilayer perceptron type.
