Abstract
A computer implemented method of adapting a cloth model (211) on an avatar model (111) creating a fitted cloth model (211) in a three-dimensional virtual reality world, comprises the steps of scaling the cloth model (211) uniformly as well as stretching and/or shrinking of the model uniformly matching an overall size of the avatar model (111) to generate a uniformly scaled cloth model. A plurality of polygons covering the surface of the avatar model (111) is defined. A plurality of groups of polygons (412) based on a predetermined number of said polygons is defined and one vertex for each polygon group is assigned in UV space. A color relating to the polygon groups (410) related to the avatar model (111) as well as related to the cloth model (211) is assigned. Then the polygon groups (410) relating to the avatar model (111) or the cloth model (211) are displayed, whichever is representing the highest layer.
