Abstract

An apparatus (100) for the production of inner assemblies, preferably for electrochemical cells destined for the production of batteries, comprises: a movable frame (120), movable along a forming trajectory between a first position and a second position spaced from the first position; a coupling unit (128) comprising at least one forming support (130) mounted on said movable frame (120), said coupling unit (128) being configured to couple at least one web (N1; N2; N3; N4) in an overlapping layers structure onto said forming support (130) to form an inner assembly (1) at least partially while said movable frame (120) is moving between the first position and the second position; an unloading mechanism (145) configured to pick said inner assembly (1) from said forming support (130) at least partially while said movable frame (120) is moving between said first position and said second position, and to release said inner assembly (1) in a predefined release area (146), spaced from said movable frame (120), said unloading mechanism (145) comprising a gripping device (175) configured to grab and hold said inner assembly (1) and a moving device (170) configured to move said gripping device (175) substantially at the same speed and in the same direction as said movable frame (120) at least while said gripping device (175) grabs said inner assembly (1).
