Abstract
The present disclosure refers to a process for the preparation of a dry crystalline HKUST-1 metal organic framework which comprises: a) spray drying a metal oxide or hydroxide and a tridentate organic ligand in the presence of a solvent, wherein the reaction of the metal oxide or hydroxide with the tridentate organic ligand to yield the HKUST-1 and the drying of the obtained HKUST-1 take place simultaneously inside the spray dryer, and b) collecting the formed dry crystalline HKUST-1.
