Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and a system for scheduling a tracking profile of an asset while the asset is transported from a first location to a second location in real time using a logger device associated to the asset, comprising: • a receiver for receiving a first location data indicating a first location of the logger device, • a processor for utilizing the first location data for identifying a first geographical area in which the logger device is located, • a memory having pre-stored first set of primary-level tracking-rules that are legally compliant for the first geographical area, and which define a communication pattern between the logger device and an external computer system during the real time tracking while the asset is transported from the first location to the second location, wherein the processor is further configured to utilize the first location data for identifying the first set of primary-level tracking-rules that are legally compliant for the first geographical area.
