Systems and methods for automatic transfer of a load between a carrier automated guided vehicle (AGV) carrying the load and a receiver AGV. During the transfer process, the carrier AGV is positioned within proximity of the receiver AGV. A handshake is initiated between the AGV pair, causing one of the AGVs to become stationary. Portions of the bumper field of each AGV can be disabled to permit positioning of the AGVs close together without initiating obstacle avoidance maneuvers of the AGVs. During the handshake, while one AGV moves toward the other AGV, the respective bumper fields together form an enlarged bumper field surrounding at least a majority of a combined perimeter of the AGV pair, providing intact obstacle detection while transferring the load between AGVs. After the load is transferred, the handshake can be terminated and the receiver AGV can deliver the received load to a location within the warehouse.

A method for controlling a portable computing device is disclosed. The computing device receives an input causing the computing device to start operating in a thermally restricted mode. Upon starting operation in the thermally restricted mode, a temperature difference, ΔT=T_dev-T_amb, between a surface temperature, T_dev, of the computing device and an ambient temperature, T_amb, is derived. Computing tasks running on the computing device or scheduled to run on the computing device are prioritized, and for each of the prioritized computing tasks, a thermal impact on the surface temperature, T_dev, of the computing device by performing the computing task, is estimated. The computing device is operated by performing computing tasks while taking the priority order of the computing tasks and the thermal impact of the computing tasks into account, and in such a manner that the temperature difference, ΔT, is maintained within a predefined range around zero.

The present invention relates to a mobile unit configured to provide water for heating and/or cooling purposes, the mobile unit comprising an enclosure comprising a floor section comprising one or more air intakes, and wherein a tap for outgoing water and a tap for returning water are provided as well; an air-to-water heat pump arranged at least partly within the enclosure, wherein the heat pump is configured to take in air through the one or more air intakes in the floor section of the enclosure, and release air through one or more air outlets of the enclosure, and to provide water, such as heated or cooled water, to the tap for outgoing water.

A method for performing a digital signature is disclosed. At least two sharings of a private signature key are provided. A first sharing is shared among a hot node (2) and a first of at least two cold nodes (3), and a second sharing is shared among the hot node (2) and a second of the at least two cold nodes (3). A signing request message is generated, and one of the at least two sharings of the private signature key is selected. The signing request message is provided to the location of the cold node (3) holding key shares of the selected sharing, and to the hot node (2). A first digital signature share is generated, based on the signing request message and the key shares of the selected sharing held by the cold node (3), and a second digital signature share is generated, based on the signing request message and the key shares of the selected sharing held by the hot node (2). A digital signature is generated by combining the first digital signature share and the second digital signature share.

The present invention relates to a marker-free movement capture system and a method for measuring movement of a human body and associated sport equipment while performing a sport activity in natural field space characteristic for the sport. A first camera is positioned at a first fixed location relative to an image capturing space, configured to capture image data of the human body and the associated sport equipment during the sport activity within the image capturing space. At least one second camera is provided positioned at one or more second fixed locations relative to the image capturing space, configured to capture image data of the human body and the associated sport equipment during the sport activity simultaneous to the first camera within the image capturing space. A computer system receives and processes the image data collected by the first camera and the at least one second camera. At least one mobile carrier is provided for carrying the first and the at least one second camera, and a control unit is configured to instruct the at least one mobile carrier together with the cameras to move to the a natural field space, wherein, in response to detecting an action executed by the human within the first natural field space, the image data captured by the first and at least one second camera, collected over a predefined time window encompassing both before and after the detected action, is provided as input to the computer system to calculate the human's movement

A machine (1) for emulsifying a food product. The machine conveys a food product from an upstream section past an emulsifier stack to a downstream section by a pressure difference between a pressure in the upstream section and a pressure in the downstream section. To allow improved control of the emulsifying process and potentially allow better flow control of the emulsified food product, the machine further comprises a pressure regulating structure configured to control the pressure difference between the pressure in the upstream section and the pressure in the downstream section.
