Abstract

An inspection assistance system includes an insertion unit and a control unit. The control unit acquires an exterior image that is an image of an end portion of each of two or more tubes or an image of a figure indicating the end portion of each of the two or more tubes. The control unit identifies an inspection target in the exterior image based on inspection information and two or more pieces of the identification information corresponding to the two or more tubes in the exterior image. The control unit outputs the exterior image and inspection target information indicating the inspection target to a display before the insertion unit is inserted into one of the two or more tubes or when the insertion unit has been inserted into one of the two or more tubes.
