Abstract

The present disclosure relates to an aerosol generating apparatus. A drawback with known aerosol generating apparatuses is that a user may be unable to immediately and easily determine a status or a mode of operation of the apparatus. Accordingly, there is provided an aerosol generating apparatus (1), comprising a battery (2), having a total battery capacity for initiating a predefined number m of aerosol generating sessions, a plurality j of individually controllable visual indication elements (57) for indicating the predefined number m of aerosol generating sessions, and a controller (12,56) configured to determine the number n of remaining aerosol generating sessions based on the current battery capacity, and control the plurality of visual indication elements (57) to indicate the number n of remaining aerosol generating sessions by illuminating a number k of the visual indication elements, wherein k <= j and n <= m, wherein k is a function of j×n/m, and wherein j, k, m, n are whole numbers.
