Abstract
Disclosed is a stent delivery system, including a delivery sheath catheter, a stabilizer, and a tuohy borst sideport. The delivery sheath catheter includes an inner lubricious liner, a reinforcement layer, and a wear-resistant outer jacket with an atraumatic distal tip, and a distal radiopaque marker band to facilitate visualization under fluoroscopy. The stabilizer, internally concentric within the delivery sheath catheter, includes an inner lumen for a 0.014-inch guidewire, a flat face for stent deployment, a proximal radiopaque split marker band to facilitate visualization under fluoroscopy, and a reinforced shaft. The preloaded stent is positioned between the delivery sheath catheter inner liner and the stabilizer lumen at the distal end of the delivery system. The stent delivery system, with a crossing profile of 3.20 to 3.89 French and a length between 40 to 220 cm, is configured for navigation through tight diseased vasculature to deploy the stent at distal lesion sites.
