A portable heating unit produces substantially breathable heated air due to burn efficiency. Fuel consumption is lower than known heating units. The heating unit may be powered by a variety of fuels, including diesel, propane, or other liquid or gaseous fuels. The heating unit operates independent of external power source by having a fuel tank, a power generator, and batteries. Following a brief warm-up time, the unit ramps up to full speed in less time than known technologies. The incoming air is compressed by a compressor and is forced into a combustor assembly which includes a swirling unit. The combustor provides pre-heating of the fuel while creating turbulence in the incoming air. Where diesel fuel is used, this arrangement increases atomization while creating better fuel-air mixing. The combustor is attached to a turbine which is attached to an exhaust catalyst. The catalyst is attached to a hot air ejector.

The invention provides electrically conductive films containing graphene nanoplatelets packed in a substantially Apollonian manner. The films may also comprise carbon nanotubes in order to improve their conductivity. The invention also provides liquid compositions that can be used to print the electrically conductive films described herein.

Disclosed is a stent delivery system, including a delivery sheath catheter, a stabilizer, and a tuohy borst sideport. The delivery sheath catheter includes an inner lubricious liner, a reinforcement layer, and a wear-resistant outer jacket with an atraumatic distal tip, and a distal radiopaque marker band to facilitate visualization under fluoroscopy. The stabilizer, internally concentric within the delivery sheath catheter, includes an inner lumen for a 0.014-inch guidewire, a flat face for stent deployment, a proximal radiopaque split marker band to facilitate visualization under fluoroscopy, and a reinforced shaft. The preloaded stent is positioned between the delivery sheath catheter inner liner and the stabilizer lumen at the distal end of the delivery system. The stent delivery system, with a crossing profile of 3.20 to 3.89 French and a length between 40 to 220 cm, is configured for navigation through tight diseased vasculature to deploy the stent at distal lesion sites.

The present invention provides a temperature and strain sensor, the sensor comprising two electrodes and a polymeric matrix comprising an ionic liquid separating the electrodes, wherein the electrodes and polymeric matrix are all co-planar. Methods of using the sensors and methods for their manufacture are also described.

The present invention relates to an electrode assembly for exposing an object supported on a moving surface to an electrical discharge comprising: (a) an electrical discharge device capable of generating an electrical discharge, further comprising an electrode having an electrical discharge generating surface capable of generating an electrical discharge originating from an active portion of the surface, wherein the surface is movable in order to allow generation of an electrical discharge from a different portion of the surface; (b) a barrier located in closely spaced separation to an inactive area of the electrode wherein the barrier separates the active portion of the electrode from an inactive portion of the electrode; and (c) means for cooling the inactive portion of the electrode. Methods and uses of the electrode assembly of the invention are also described, in particular exposing an object to an electrical discharge generated by the electrode assembly and further particularly attaching a molecule or macromolecule to an object following exposure of the object to the electrical discharge.

The present disclosure describes novel hybrid soluble ActRIIB-ECD polypeptides which fully retain binding affinity for myostatin and activin A but demonstrate significantly reduced binding to BMPs, especially BMP-9. The novel compositions described herein can be used to prepare novel hybrid ActRIIB ligand trap proteins, which can be used for modulating the growth of muscle, bone, cartilage, fat, fibroblast, blood and neuronal tissue to counteract muscle wasting, bone loss, anemia, inflammation and fibrosis in a therapeutically meaningful manner. Because these novel next-generation myostatin/activin inhibitors are safer and more effective molecules than the currently available myostatin inhibitors, they are useful in a wide variety of clinical indications.

A hatch assembly is provided, the assembly comprising a hatch lid connected via a connecting bar to an actuation means, such that opening and closing of the hatch lid by a user can be actuated at a location different from that of the hatch lid.
