Abstract

Provided is a balloon catheter that can apply pressure precisely to the target site. A balloon catheter (1) including: a shaft (10) extending in a longitudinal direction from a proximal side to a distal side; a first balloon (21) disposed at a distal part of the shaft (10); and a balloon group (30) including a plurality of second balloons (22) disposed outside the first balloon (21) and arranged in a circumferential direction of the first balloon (21), wherein in an inflated state of the first balloon (21) and the balloon group (30), a length (L1) of the first balloon (21) from a distal end (21d) thereof to a proximal end (21p) thereof in the longitudinal direction is shorter than a length (L2) of at least one of the plurality of second balloons (22) from a distal end (22d) thereof to a proximal end (22p) thereof in the longitudinal direction.
