Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a wrapping machine comprising a first reel support (2.1) configured to support a first film (3.1); a second reel support (2.2) configured to support a second film (3.2); a first winder (4.1) configured to drive the first film (3.1); a second winder (4.2) configured to drive the second film (3.2); an assembly (6) for transversely sealing the films (3.1, 3.2) together and for transversely cutting the films (3.1, 3.2); and a conveying unit (1) comprising a receiving area (1.9) for receiving the product (P). The assembly (6) is arranged in the machine (100) with the possibility of movement in the forward direction (A) and in an opposite backward direction (B), the winders (4.1, 4.2) and the receiving area (1.9) being associated with the assembly (6) in such a way that they move together with the assembly (6).
