Abstract
The disclosure relates to a method for detecting an anomaly in one or more battery cells (16) of a plurality of battery cells (16) for a vehicle (10). The method comprises obtaining first data (D1) indicative of a deviation (dSoC) of a state of charge per battery cell (16) of at least a subset (18) of the plurality of battery cells from a first statistical parameter. The method also comprises obtaining second data (D2) indicative of a deviation (dSoH) of a state of health per battery cell (16) of the subset (18) of battery cells from a second statistical parameter. Moreover, the method comprises obtaining third data (D3) indicative of a statistical distance measure per battery cell (16) of the subset (18) of battery cells, based on the first data (D1) and based on the second data (D2). Furthermore, the method comprises providing fourth data (D4) indicative of an anomaly for one or more battery cells (16) associated with the statistical distance measure. The disclosure is also directed to a method for controlling a battery assembly (12) for a vehicle (12). Moreover, the disclosure relates to a data processing apparatus (24), a computer program (32), a computer-readable storage medium (30), a vehicle (10), and to a use of a statistical distance measure for detecting an anomaly in one or more battery cells (16).
