Abstract

A camera module (20, 120, 220) for a vehicle includes: a housing (30, 130, 230) including a front surface (32) defining a plurality of receiver ports (34) and an emitter port (36); a lens (40) mounted on the front surface (32) of the housing (30, 130, 230); a camera imager sensor (50) disposed in the housing (30, 130, 230) and behind the lens (40) for receiving light via the lens (40); a plurality of ultrasonic sensors (44); and an ultrasonic transmitter / driver (46). Each of the ultrasonic sensors (44) is disposed in the housing (30, 130, 230) and overlying a corresponding one of the receiver ports (34). The ultrasonic transmitters (46) disposed in the housing (30, 130, 230) and overlying the emitter port (36) for directing ultrasonic energy therethrough.
