Abstract

Embodiments of this application relate to the field of terminal technologies, and provide a home screen display method and apparatus. The method includes: When a terminal device detects a combined scenario, for example, a scenario in which the terminal device displays a home screen, enters a settings application and performs screen rotation, sets a wallpaper, and exits a home screen application, and when it is determined that configuration change information sent by another module is not received, the terminal device may actively obtain the configuration change information. As a result, the home screen application can adaptively adjust a home screen layout based on a screen rotation direction, thereby reducing a layout anomaly.
