Abstract

A wire dress cover (104, 604, 904) configured to attach to a connector housing (102, 602, 902) containing a terminal (202) includes a tab (214, 702, 1002) extending from the cover and configured for insertion into a slot (210, 704, 1004) defined in the connector housing (102, 602, 902). The tab (214, 702, 1002) features a locking surface (216, 706, 1006) that contacts a wall (212, 708, 1008) of the slot (210, 704, 1004), the locking surface (216, 706, 1006) and wall (212, 708, 1008) cooperating to urge a contact surface (218, 710, 1010) of the cover (104, 604, 904) against the terminal (202) within the connector housing (102, 602, 902), thereby maintaining secure electrical engagement and providing strain relief.
