Abstract
A computer system (1) and a method for controlling a fuel cell system (5) comprising a power conversion and distribution circuitry (3) configured to convert and deliver electric power generated by the fuel cell system to an electric energy storage system (30) and to a power consumer (40). The method comprises:- monitoring an operating voltage of the fuel cell system and/or of the electric energy storage system,- monitoring a temperature of the power conversion and distribution circuitry,- detecting that the monitored operating voltage is below a nominal operating voltage of the fuel cell system, and that the monitored temperature is within a defined temperature range above a nominal temperature of the power conversion and distribution circuitry, and in response thereto temporarily controlling the fuel cell system in a first operating mode, enabling power delivery in accordance with a power request from the power consumer.
