Abstract
The present invention provides a power converter for LED drivers. The power converter comprises an input stage configured to receive an AC input voltage and convert it to a DC voltage, which is then supplied to input terminals of an asymmetrical half-bridge flyback converter. The asymmetrical half-bridge flyback converter includes a main transformer with a primary winding, a secondary winding, and an auxiliary winding, where the auxiliary winding is configured as a coupled inductor. Additionally, a diode is connected in series with the coupled inductor, with the coupled inductor and diode being arranged between the input stage and one of the input terminals of the asymmetrical half-bridge flyback converter. The output terminals of the converter are configured to supply an output voltage to an LED load.
