Abstract
An image decoding/encoding method and apparatus according to the present disclosure are capable of segmenting a current block on the basis of a predetermined segmentation type, and decoding/encoding a plurality of coding blocks generated by segmenting the current block. The predetermined segmentation type includes at least one of quad segmentation, binary segmentation, or ternary segmentation, and the quad segmentation can be divided into square quad segmentation that segments a square block into four and non-square quad segmentation that segments a non-square block into four.
