Abstract
The invention relates to an electrocaloric multilayer element (10) comprising a stack of layers along a transverse direction (11), said stack of layers comprising a first outermost polymer layer (15, 22, 32) and a second outermost polymer layer (16, 23, 33) at opposite ends of the stack and, between the first outermost polymer layer (15, 22, 32) and second outermost polymer (16, 23, 33), a plurality of electrocaloric polymer layers (12) and a plurality of electrode layers (13).
