Abstract

Disclosed herein relates to a battery device including: a base frame; a plurality of cell assemblies provided on the base frame, each including a plurality of battery cells; an inner frame provided on the base frame and disposed between the plurality of cell assemblies; a thermally conductive adhesive layer attaching the plurality of cell assemblies to the base frame; and a first thermal barrier pad containing a first thermally expandable material, disposed between each of the plurality of cell assemblies and the inner frame.
