Abstract

A recording medium transport device includes a belt member that performs circulatory movement, that includes a hole portion for causing air to pass from an outer peripheral surface side toward an inner peripheral surface side of the belt member, and that transports a recording medium attached to an outer peripheral surface and a protruding portion that is provided in a state of protruding from the outer peripheral surface of the belt member and that is provided to surround the hole portion.
