Abstract

A coating apparatus including a coating die with a manifold for accommodating a first coating liquid is provided. The coating die includes a die lip with a discharge port for discharging the first coating liquid, and a coating shim disposed within the coating die. The coating shim includes a body shim with a center body spaced apart from the die lip by the manifold. A first side body of the coating shim extends from the center body toward the die lip, and the first side body does not overlap the manifold. A first spacer shim extends between the center body and the die lip. The first spacer shim includes an inner part overlapping the manifold and an outer part located between the manifold and the first side body.
