Abstract

An electronic key system 1 includes a mobile terminal M that outputs a key operation signal corresponding with a key permission of a digital key, a vehicle key R portable by a driver, a power supply switch 201 that is provided at a driver's seat and implements a power supply state transition operation on the vehicle under authentication of either the digital key or the vehicle key R, and a controller 101 that turns on or off a power supply of the vehicle in response to the power supply state transition operation or in response to receiving the key operation signal. When the driver turns on the power supply using the power supply switch 201, the mobile terminal M is prohibited from turning the power supply on or off.
