Abstract

A document reading device (10) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a pick-up roller (45), a sensor (143), an operation section (115), and a sheet feeding controller (130). The pick-up roller (45) draws out a plurality of sheets one by one from a sheet table (11) on which the plurality of sheets are loaded. The sensor detects presence or absence of the sheet. The operation section (115) receives an operation of a user. The sheet feeding controller (130) controls drive to raise the pick-up roller (45) on the basis of a detection result of the sensor and an operation instruction from the operation section (115).
