Abstract
An exchange fluid having one or more amino acid for removing carbon dioxide from a solid sorbent and systems containing the same are disclosed. The exchange fluid may further include a neutralizing base for neutralizing the amino acid. The system may further employ an electrochemical cell to regenerate the exchange fluid by removing carbon dioxide from the exchange fluid without employing degrading temperatures and pressures.
