Abstract

A vehicle lower section structure including a battery (14) and an energy absorption member (28). The energy absorption member (28) includes an upper wall (30), a lower wall (32), and plural upright partitioning walls (40) that form plural spaces (42, 44, 46). The spaces along a vehicle width direction from an outermost space (42) to a freely selected space (46) of the spaces are provided alternately with either a pair of first indentations (64, 66, 74, 76) in a lower face of the upper wall (30) indented toward a vehicle upper side of the space and in an upper face of the lower wall (32) indented toward a vehicle lower side of the space, or a pair of second indentations (68, 70) in an upper face of the upper wall (30) indented toward the vehicle lower side of the space and in a lower face of the lower wall (32) indented toward the vehicle upper side of the space.
