Abstract

The work machine includes a vehicle body, a camera for capturing the surroundings of the vehicle body, a monitor for displaying the camera image photographed by the camera, a monitor operation device for instructing changes in the display magnification of the camera image displayed on the monitor, and a controller for controlling the display of the monitor in response to the operation of the monitor operation device. The controller notifies the operator of caution or disables the change in display magnification instructed by the monitor operation device when the display magnification instructed by the monitor operation device is outside the predetermined magnification range and predetermined operating conditions are met before the operation of the vehicle body. This suppresses the deficiency of the area displayed on the monitor relative to the proper display target area during operation.
