Abstract

An axial roller bearing assembly, comprising an annular plastic cage comprising a plurality of openings distributed along the circumferential direction of the cage; a plurality of rollers, each roller being provided in a respective opening of the cage; and a support ring provided circumferentially around the outer perimeter of the cage and in contact with the cage for providing strengthening support to the plastic material of the cage. The outer perimeter of the cage is closed, and wherein the cage also has an inner perimeter which is closed, wherein said plurality of openings are provided between said closed outer perimeter and said closed inner perimeter, wherein the plastic cage is moulded in one piece.
