Abstract

A chain (11) includes pairs of inner link plates (14) and pairs of outer link plates (15) alternately arranged in a series-arrangement direction. Each of the pairs of the inner link plates (14) includes a first connection pin (17a) and a second connection pin (17b). At least one of the two outer link plates (15) in each of the pairs includes a first engagement groove (21) and a second engagement groove (22). When the chain (11) extends in a straight line, the outer link plate (15) including the first engagement groove (21) and the second engagement groove (22) is configured such that the second engagement groove (22) engages with the first connection pin (17a) of the inner link plate (14) located immediately rearward in the series-arrangement direction and the first engagement groove (21) engages with the second connection pin (17b) of the inner link plate (14) located immediately forward in the series-arrangement direction.
