Abstract

An image forming apparatus (100) includes a main body (1), a container (2), an outer cover (3) and an inner cover (4) which is supported turnably around a second axis (A2) with respect to the outer cover (3). The inner cover (4) sandwiches the container (2) between the outer cover (3) and an upper part (41) located above the second axis (A2). After the inner cover (4) enters the main body (1), by pressing the inner cover (4) toward an outer side, the upper part (41) of the inner cover (4) is turned around the second axis (A2) to approach the container (2). The inner cover (4) includes an engagement portion (40) in a lower part located below the second axis (A2). In a state where the inner cover (4) is not pressed toward the outer side, the container (2) engages with the engagement portion (40).
