Abstract

The disclosure relates to a computer-implemented method for designing an automated storage and retrieval system at a storage site. The method comprises capturing a material dimension of the storage site, generating a virtual storage system based on the material dimension, and displaying, to a user, the virtual storage system synchronously overlaying a representation of the storage site. The virtual storage system comprises a virtual frame delineating a plurality of virtual storage columns for receiving virtual stacks of storage containers. The representation portrays the material dimension.
