Abstract

A battery cell (10) includes a battery element (100) and a front lid member (210) that is spaced from the end surface of the battery element (100) by a predetermined distance and at least partially faces the end surface. The front lid member (210) has a front protrusion (214) that is positioned on the side where the end surface of the battery element (100) is positioned. The front lid member (210) defines a front recessed space (216) that is recessed from the side of the front lid member (210) opposite to the side where the end surface of the battery element (100) is positioned toward the front protrusion (214).
