Abstract

An apparatus for a user equipment, UE, the apparatus may include processing circuitry coupled to a storage, the processing circuitry configured to: generate a header or tag for attachment to a user plane, UP, data packet for in-network computing, wherein the header or tag comprises an operating mode information element representing whether the header or tag is independent of the UP data packet or not; and instruct the UE to transmit data comprising the header or tag attached to the UP data packet.
