Abstract

This disclosure relates to an applicator cap configured to close a container with a receiving space for storing a topical formulation and an opening for dispensing the topical formulation from the receiving space. The applicator cap comprises a cap base body including a connection portion for connecting the applicator cap to a container, to cover an opening of the receiving space of the container, and a lid that is pivotably connected to the cap base body via a hinge and is moveable between a closed position for closing the applicator cap and an open position for opening the applicator cap. The lid comprises a locking portion that is fixable to a mating portion on the cap base body or on the container for a topical formulation, to which the applicator is connected, for fixing the lid in the open position.
