Abstract
The subject matter of the present invention is the use of 2-Pentadecyl-2-oxazoline (also known as PEA-OXA) in association with butyric acid, in acidic or salified form, in the treatment of epilepsy and associated psychiatric comorbidities (such as social isolation). In particular, the present invention relates to PEA-OXA for use, in humans and animals, in the prevention and treatment of epileptogenesis and comorbidities associated with epilepsy, such as limited social interaction, wherein PEA-OXA is administered in association or in combination with butyric acid or a salt thereof, wherein said administration is separate, joint, or simultaneous.
