Abstract
The invention is directed to a foam forming composition comprising a part A and a part B, a catalyst for reacting part A and part B with one another and a propellant, the part A consisting of one or more multifunctional acrylate compounds as a Michael acceptor, wherein the part A consists of (i) part Aa being one or more epoxy acrylates having multiple functional acrylate groups, and (ii) part Ab being one or more acrylates different from part Aa and having multiple functional acrylate groups, wherein the part B consists of one or more multifunctional Michael donor compounds, and wherein the weight ratio EAWR of the part Aa to part Ab is ≥ 1.65. The cured foam made by curing the expanded foam forming composition shows good lap shear strength in combination with increased compression strength and tensile adhesion strength.
