Abstract

The present invention relates to a two-piece fastener for mounting walls panels to a mounting surface such as a wall e.g. for either decorative or isolating purposes. The present invention also relates to a system comprising both a wall panel and a fastener.In particular, the invention relates to a fastener for a wall panel (1) comprising a bend or crease along a mounting edge to be mounted on a mounting surface (2), which fastener comprises a first piece (3) comprising a base part (5) which base part (5) comprises a top surface and a lower surface, the top surface faces away from the mounting surface (2) after mounting and the lower surface is in contact with the mounting surface (2) after mounting, and a fastening part (6) extending from the top surface of the base part (5) and comprising either an opening or a protrusion (7) configured to interact with a corresponding part (8) of a wall panel (1), and a second piece (4) comprising a first surface (9) or wall configured to be parallel to a corresponding surface (10) or wall of the bend or crease of a wall panel (1) when the wall panel (1) is in a mounted position, and the first surface (9) or wall is configured to be in contact with and/or to exercise a pressure on the corresponding surface (10) of the wall panel (1) after mounting, wherein the first piece (3) and the second piece (4) comprises interconnecting secondary fastening parts (15A, 15B) comprising corresponding click parts (13), the corresponding click parts (13) are configured to fix or secure the position of the second piece (4) relative to the first piece (3).
