Abstract
Disclosed is the use of spermidine as a biomarker for monitoring the treatment response in major depressive disorder (MDD). Also disclosed are methods for assessing a response to an MDD treatment in a patient having MDD, antidepressants for use in treatment of MDD and methods of treating MDD.
