Abstract

Disclosed is a method for managing a relationship between the industrial site and the industrial automation platform. The method includes receiving coding conventions associated with the industrial automation platform intended to control assets within the industrial site, generating a site template by mapping the coding conventions with corresponding assets based on predefined standards, creating an industrial site ontology based on the site template and the predefined standards, generating a set of rules based on mapping the coding conventions to the industrial site ontology, generating industrial site models based on correlating the set of rules and a knowledge graph, classifying the assets based on the coding conventions, and establishing the relationship between the industrial site and the industrial automation platform based on the classification such that the industrial automation platform manages, monitors, and controls the assets within the industrial site according to the predefined standards.
