Abstract

This application discloses a display method and a related device. In the method, an electronic device may pre-cache a new element to a user interface, and set the new element to an invisible state. If the electronic device detects a removal operation performed on an element in a container, the electronic device sets an animation type of a to-be-removed element to DISAPPEARING, sets an animation type of another element in the container and an animation type of the new element to CHANGE_DISAPPEARING, and sets the new element to a visible state. The electronic device may perform an animation for each element in the container, and display a corresponding animation effect on a display screen. In the method, the electronic device may simultaneously display animation effects for removal and addition of elements, without displaying the animation effect for removal of elements first and then displaying the animation effect for addition of elements. Therefore, the entire animation effect is continuous and smooth.
