Abstract

The present disclosure provides a battery pack comprising two hollow side rails, a base, and first and second tension members. The first tension member includes first mounting portions and a first central portion with a first recess and first sidewall having first apertures. The second tension member includes second mounting portions and a second central portion with a second recess and second sidewall having second apertures. The first and second tension members are positioned with recesses aligned to define a central pathway (116), and are positioned between and perpendicular to the side rails (150) to accommodate at least one battery array. Each side rail (150) includes an opening on an inner side aligned with the first recess and in fluid communication with the central pathway (116).
