Abstract

There is described a portable electronic device comprising a display (160) and a housing (110) in which the display is placed. The housing includes an injection-molded portion (102) including an injection molded material, and a metal portion (101) including a metal material. The metal portion includes a first side portion (110a) including an opening (110a_h). The device further includes an antenna structure (110_am) disposed in the housing, wherein at least a portion of antenna structure is disposed to face the opening, and a support structure (200) disposed between the antenna structure and the first side portion. The support structure includes a conductive plate (210) that partially overlaps the antenna structure with respect to a first direction toward the antenna structure from the first side portion, and a non-conductive plate (220) that closes the opening. At least a portion of the non-conductive plate overlaps the conductive plate.
