Abstract

A medical device comprises a stem sized for insertion into a lumen of a coil; a stopper coupled to, and/or extending from, the stem. The stopper is proximal to a proximal end of the coil when the stem is inserted into the lumen of the coil and a structure outside the lumen of the coil. The structure defining an opening is sized to accommodate a distal portion of a delivery wire, and the stem comprises a channel configured to accommodate a first part of a stretch-resistant member when a second part of the stretch-resistant member is disposed around the structure that defines the opening.
