Abstract
A method for operating a security monitoring system for monitoring a premises is provided. The method comprises the steps of detecting a first person by means of a first imaging means arranged to monitor a first exterior portion of the premises, attempting to identify said first person, detecting a second person by means of a second imaging means arranged to monitor a second exterior portion of the premises, and attempting to identify said second person. Depending on the result of the attempt to identify said second person, the method comprises a step of performing one or more of a selection of actions.
