Abstract

A rotor assembly (6) adapted to form part of an arrangement (4) for converting power, the rotor assembly comprising: a rotor shaft (10) extending along a central axis (C), and configured to be rotatable thereabout, a set of rotor windings (12, 12') comprising at least two rotor windings (12, 12'), each rotor winding in the set of rotor windings surrounding the central axis and being rotationally fixed to the rotor shaft, the rotor assembly (6) further comprising an electrical transfer arrangement (14) adapted to be electrically connected to a source of electrical power (15) and configured to selectively feed electric power to each rotor winding in the set of rotor windings.
