Abstract

A terminal device receives, from a connected base station device, first setting information for measuring a downlink reference signal transmitted from another base station device that provides a handover-destination candidate cell, and second setting information for reporting a result of measurement of the downlink reference signal, and then receives, from the base station device, a command instructing handover to the cell provided by the other base station device that includes information designating a beam to be used for transmission of the downlink reference signal, in response to receiving the command from the base station and without receiving an instruction for transmission of the downlink reference signal from the other base station device, executes measurement of the downlink reference signal transmitted from the other base station device based on the first setting information and the information designating the beam, and performing handover to the cell provided by the other base station device in response to receiving the command from the base station device.
