Abstract

A display device includes a plurality of lower insulating layers on a substrate, a light-emitting element on the lower insulating layers, an encapsulation layer on the light-emitting element and including a plurality of insulating encapsulation layers, a base insulating layer on the encapsulation layer, a conductive pattern on the base insulating layer, and an upper insulating layer on the conductive pattern. The upper insulating layer is spaced from an edge of the substrate. At least one insulating layer among the lower insulating layers, the encapsulation layer, and the base insulating layer extends to the edge of the substrate. A first surface roughness of a first upper surface of the at least one insulating layer, without being covered by the upper insulating layer, is greater than a second surface roughness of a second upper surface of the at least one insulating layer covered by the upper insulating layer.
