Abstract
A control tower of a gearbox for road vehicles has an operating lever (21) mounted so as to rotate around two rotation axes (6, 12), which are transversal to one another and move between at least two pairs of gears and between the gears of each pair of gears; and a detection device (9, 15) to detect the angular position of the operating lever (21) around the two rotation axes (6, 12) and to supply at least one electrical signal to an electronic control unit (10) configured to detect the gear engaged by the operating lever (21) and control the operation of the gearbox.
